He kills the master of a beautiful slave walking in the snow with no shoes. He plans to sell her, but when it's time, he can't do it. Gunnar sends her back to camp for her protection. He returns to find her gone, she's been sold. The snow is deep and night is falling, but nothing will stop him from getting her back.
