The Aggrandizer

Loss of identity and loss of self worth has plagued a race of people vital to America's history. What if you had a chance to go back and experience what previous generations have endured? Would you be compelled to change it?The Aggrandizer is the story of Ericston Washaton Jr., the first African American graduate of the University of Houston with a B. A. in Architectural Design, who lived in the midst of the Jim Crow Laws and segregation. Mr. Washaton's race hindered any advancement in his field, and his plans were stolen by reputable colleagues who in turn made hundreds of thousands of dollars in profit that rightfully belonged to Ericston. Finally, broken and shunned with only the love of his craft, he started anew in the recesses of his cellar. With only the knowledge of his inventions, his son will stumble into a journey, which at one time we all have said we wanted to take, hoping to make a difference.
