Life was wonderful for Leila Jacobs. The retired teacher enjoyed gym workouts, volunteering, lunching with friends, and attending musical performances. All that changed radically the day that she discovered that her apartment had been viciously vandalized. There was reason to believe that Leila had been purposely targeted, but by whom? To discover the answer, she must review her life, remembering her lost love, and recalling many of the people who had shared her days. But Leila doesn't have the luxury of revisiting the past for very long. With the help of a dedicated police officer, she struggles to discover the source of the evil that has suddenly disrupted her existence.
