Zen and the Genesis of Tao explores some well-known verses from the book of Genesis, especially focussing on how mystical insights hidden in these verses of the Old Testament indicate a Zen way of life. The book contains a medieval kabbalistic thesis and various commentaries on it, one of which is Hindu and another kabbalistic in character. These two main commentaries reveal new and fascinating mystical philosophies. Together they cast a positive light on subjects usually associated with negativity, guilt, and blame.
