Book updated February 2021. In Alabama, the Alabama Auction Law has rules and regulations that set forth by the ASBA. All auctioneer candidates seeking a license have to contact the licensing board and register to take the closed book auctioneer examination, which requires a passing score of 73%. The Auctioneer Apprentice examination, on the other hand, requires a passing score of 71% only. In any case, candidates are allotted 2 hours to complete the exam.
