La'Shameka experienced depression at such a young age. Developing this sickness as early as the age of eight was unbearable for her, causing her to develop suicidal thoughts. Those thoughts had her wanting to take her life. She tried to get one of her younger siblings to assist her in killing herself. All behind her feeling as if she was unloved and the lack of the attention she needed as a child. It wasn't until she grew older that she realized that every action of wanting to take her life came from just a thought in your mind of being depressed. Once she discovered that controlling her thoughts and most importantly finding God was what she was missing, she began to beat the odds.
