Homerica

Texts have been selected that relate to the Homeric worlds of the Iliad and the Odyssey in order to commemorate the 100th birthday of archaeologist and Homer-translator Roland Hampe (1908-1981). The selection begins with a description of the Mycenaean palaces, one of the Hampe's last projects. This is followed by the generationally older display of the personality of Homer's Nestor.
