In the forest where he was born, a young squirrel can't even leave his own tree without adult supervision. Sammy is tired of following the rules. Why does he have to be so careful anyway? For as long as he can remember, squirrels have had a peace treaty with their feared predator, the hawk. In exchange for peace in the forest, the crafty squirrels cook the hawks what they crave--sugary meals from human leftovers. Join Sammy and his mischievous friends on a quest to deadly Hawktown, home of hawk leader, Howard Howland. Along the way they'll work to fix an imbalance in the forest food chain and convince their elders to give them the freedom they deserve.
