Ah, Long Island. The beaches, the concerts at Jones Beach, Mister Softee ice cream truck, the smell of freshly cut grass and kids cooling off on slip and slides! There is nothing better than Long Island in the summer. Hi, my name is Patti Chiappa. I am a Long Islander now living in Florida. Growing up on Long Island, gave me a bit of advantage. You see Long Island had a variety of ethnic restaurants some that I had the pleasure of working in. I was blessed to work with some off the top chefs on Long Island. And not only learn how to cook some of these tasty dishes but I also was able to meet a lot of fine people that made a lasting impression on me.
