How to Make America Into a Democracy

My book advocates for turning the United States into a democracy. It is commonly said that America is a democracy but it's not, it is a republic. Our country has a strong democratic tradition and our culture is very democratic. Many states have adopted ballot measure systems over the years and 25 states plus the District of Columbia have one now. The Federal government is much less democratic by comparison. This book outlines a series of steps that America could take to turn itself into an actual democracy.
