Garrett Hess is the prototype of what turn-of-the-century America was built on - hard work and strong moral and religious values. Life was a journey and I enjoyed the ride. Indeed, Garrett's ride covers a life of back-breaking work - from lumbering and working in a sawmill and a tannery to working the land he loved so much.
