In Isle of Innocence, the sequel to A Captive Heart, Captain Evans has decided to retire from his life at sea. But after splitting his crew into two new groups headed for separate ships, he questions whether or not he's done the right thing. His wife, Bre, also doubts that he's ready for a life on land-and is unsure if such a life could make him happy.

When Evans's father asks him to sail a load, the captain must form a new crew of cousins and friends to bring along for the ride. Along the way, Evans and his crew discover that one of CP Trading's ships, The Phoenix, is in trouble. They set weigh to save her, and Evans turns to his trusted friend Hoss for help.

Will the Nitingale's crew, along with Hoss and his own crew, be able to save The Phoenix before it's too late? And exactly how much trouble will Bre get into while accompanying her husband and his crew?
