Who Killed Franklin V.W. Roach? .....and Other Stories.

The time had come on earth where those who govern the human race found it necessary to sign a treaty that shows respect for insects, rodents and lizards (only lizards seen in and around houses and buildings) and to give them space to roam the earth peacefully, including in and out of homes and buildings. The people in the street worldwide were livid! They saw certain insects and rodents as carriers of diseases and come hell or high water, will not associate with them under any circumstances. They were warned of prosecution if they didn't follow the letter of the law. While some humans gave up and decided to live with the new international laws, others didn't care too hoots about it. It landed many humans in jail, some for life imprisonment without the possibility of parole. There was constant strife between the two groups, who constantly disrespected each other. There were sometimes brutal fighting and quarrels among the insects, rodents and lizards, which sometimes ended with the death of the weaker species. To crown it all, some even eat their dead or the dead of other species, which is something they need to sort out among themselves. Such irresponsible behaviour was not covered under the treaty. Pesticides and insecticides (including mosquito destroyers) were banned internationally, as they were proven in the past to be harmful to insects and rodents. This drove a striving black market to develop as some humans were adamant that they would still use the products to murder the creatures they hated around them. But among the two groups, there has been a record of cordial relationship, if not for long, but a short while, which ended without death; this number is however far and in between. Some curse the day it happened, Others lauded it as a new beginning. But none could say how it came about, That these creatures now have the speech of living man in their mouths. Scientists believe the depletion of the ozone layer, is a contributing factor. Others believe it's earth's pollution, Caused by plastic, chemicals and harmful industrial emissions. But what about soil erosion?Global warming. In frustration, others it seems, blame the use of bleaching cream. But for whatever reason, Behind flapping wings and batted eyes, We now know what those buggers always thought of us.
