A Wake in Chinatown

Too many women, not enough money, never enough time for them all.

Private investigator Brad Hunter is doing everything he can to keep his agency open, but the women of Honolulu keep distracting him from his work. His latest desire, a Chinatown barmaid, occupies too much of his time, and his money. At least until she is eliminated the hard way--through a gruesome murder. Within hours, his HPD detective brother puts Brad at the the top of the prime suspect list. Now that he is being scrutinized by the Honolulu Police Department, Brad heads to Chinatown to start his own investigation.


Tossing away the investigator rule book, he makes up a few rules of his own. With the help of a noodle shop waitress, he uncovers startling details about his dead girlfriend. But as his investigation proceeds, clues get more confusing, leading him in circles.


Complicating matters is when Ashley Bertram, second grade school teacher, drops into his life. Can a nice girl who lives in a tropical hothouse with a rat as a roommate help a man completely unconcerned with details solve the murder of his old barmaid girlfriend? And what happens when some of those details come back to haunt him?


With bullets flying, his beloved Camaro bouncing from curb to curb in Waikiki, and one woman too many in his life, Brad races from one end of Honolulu to the other trying to nab a murderous culprit.
