The History of the Motor Car

Documentary following motor car history from the first internal combustion engine in the 1800s to the invention of the Mini in the 1950s. The progress made in the motor industry over the world is explored and manufacturers such as Daimler, Benz, Peugeot, Renault, Rolls Royce and Fiat are featured. The programme also investigates the impact both World Wars and the Great Depression had on the industry.
