I Am An Elastic Firecracker Tripping Daisy

'I Am An Elastic Firecracker' was Tripping Daisy's second album and it reached the Platinum status in Canada. It spawned their biggest hit-single "I Got A Girl" which received heavy MTV airplay in the late nineties. Other tracks, such as the heavy "Motivation" and the over nine minutes track "Prick" rock out with guitar-work of the late and underrated Wes Berggren. While Tim DeLaughter's voice does emphasize the Perry Farrell influence and the band does at times sound a little bit like old school Jane's Addiction, the Daisy's displays its Beatles influence more than anything else, especially on tracks like "Same Dress New Day." Tripping Daisy prove to be great psychedelic alternative rockers.
